Our Principles and Journey

Nuru Trust Network was founded in Kenya with a steadfast commitment to building resilience and creating opportunities for marginalized communities across Sub-Saharan Africa. We believe in the power of community-led interventions to drive sustainable change, particularly by empowering youth and women—two critical groups at the heart of transforming societies.

Our mission focuses on bridging the digital divide, improving access to quality education, and fostering economic empowerment in underserved regions. By providing communities with the skills, tools, and resources they need, we support the vision of Agenda 2063. Specifically, we contribute to Aspiration 1, which envisions a prosperous Africa with inclusive growth and sustainable development; Aspiration 3, which promotes good governance, justice, and respect for human rights; and Aspiration 6, which emphasizes people-driven development, especially by empowering women and youth.

At the same time, our work aligns with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). By focusing on youth and women, we aim to build sustainable, inclusive, and thriving communities across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Our Vision

A just, connected, and inclusive Africa where marginalized communities, especially youth and women, are empowered to lead change.

Our mission

To bridge the digital divide, promote civic engagement, and foster socio-economic inclusion through community-driven innovation and advocacy.
